Luke Jones has pastored JLP since 2012. He came to us from a small church in California not far from Joshua Tree National Park. Luke graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary with a Master of Theology degree in 2006, and is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church. Prior to that, he worked in the technology industry as a software developer.
Our bylaws establish a board of elected Elders, called Council, that sets the direction of the Church. Another elected body oversees relations between the staff and members of the congregation (and has the imaginative name of Staff-Parish Relations Committee).
Various other teams lead our Sunday Worship gatherings, help develop the next generation of church members, nurture strong friendships among church members, and serve people in the wider community of Sand Lake.
