Since 1990, young people have been leading the charge and inspiring others to collect dollars and food weeks leading up to the “Big Game.” Teaming up with local partners, these groups give 100% of donations to local charities, changing the nation’s largest weekend of football into the largest weekend of caring.
Contributions to JLP’s Souper Bowl this year will go to Fellowship In Serving Humanity (FISH), a city-wide hunger ministry. JLP Youth collected $432 from Souper Bowl participants in 2017—enough to purchase about 2,000 lbs of food for people in our community.
FISH provides meals to more than 13,000 people in our community (more than 40% of them are children). Last year, FISH provided more than 100,000 meals on 173 delivery days. For more information about FISH, go to fishcharity.org or call their number at 229-9299.
